Quick ways to make tech easy

Scanning from the copier to an email address

It’s really easy to scan a document on the copier and send it to an email address.

To scan to someone with an Elm email address:

  1. Press the Fax/Scan button.
  2. Be sure the Address Book tab is selected. (It will be green.)
  3. Press Search in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
  4. Press Address Type.
  5. Make sure E-Mail is selected. (It will be green.)
  6. Use the arrows to find your email address. They are in grade level order, then specialists
  7. Select your email address. (It will turn green.)
  8. Press OK in the lower right hand corner.
  9. Press Close in the lower right hand corner.
  10. Press the blue Start button.

To scan to someone who does not have an Elm email address:

  1. Press the Fax/Scan button.
  2. Select the Direct Input tab. (It will be green.)
  3. Press E-Mail.
  4. Use the keypad to type the address.
  5. Use the shift key to get to the @ symbol.
  6. Press OK.
  7. Press the blue Start button.
  • This works on both copiers.
  • The copier in the MRC will only scan in black and white.
  • The copier in the office will scan in color.
  • Be sure to comply with copyright laws.
